Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood writer and actress that has won critical acclaim for her talents. Sagittarius. She was born in North Carolina, on 3rd December, 1960. She's among the three children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a parachutist. She's of Scottish-English descent. Due to her father's job the Moore family was often moved and she had to work hard to make friendships, or to keep ones. Moore started acting in play as she travelled with her family to Germany. She continued her education at Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with a B.F.A. in Theater. Moore's professional career started with her debut in New York with Off-Broadway Theater immediately following the completion of her studies. In an episode of The Edge of Night in 1985, Moore made her first on-screen appearance. She performed the double role of Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in the show As the World Turns that was her first major role. In 1988 she played an actor on the show and received an Daytime Emmy Award. Her first cinematic appearance was in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. The movie she later described as a bad low-budget production. Short Cuts, both produced by Robert Altman (1993), and 3 Women, also productions by Altman (1997) were among her movies. In the latter, she won several awards and praise from critics. Moore got her first lead role with the film Safe (1995). Steven Spielberg chose Moore to portray the role of the protagonist role in Jurassic Park: The Lost World. The movie was among the most popular films released in the year. She starred in Magnolia (1999) and was praised by critics which earned her an SAG nomination for her part. The Hours starred Moore in 2002, and was nominated for Nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore was also in The Forgotten 2004, Freedomland, Shelter and Shelter 2010. In 2014, she was in Non-Stop. Moore has been in many movies and television shows. The most recent of her leading roles is in 2022: When You Finish Securing the World. She has made her mark as a star in Hollywood and also as an author of children's books. She released her first book in 2007 Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became the N.Y.T. best-seller, leading to it being adapted into a series and a musical. Her book of 2013 entitled My Mom is a Foreigner also became a top-selling. Moore's private life was disclosed as she's a accomplished author and actor. She was married to John Robin from 1984 until 1995. They have two children together along with Bart Freundlich whom she later married in 2003. Moore's entire life revolves around colleagues, friends and family.
